What is the contest about?
The trading portal Tlap.io together with AMarkets is holding the "Moose Hunt 18" contest. The essence of the contest is very simple: you open a demo account, and your task is to lose as much virtual money as possible within two weeks. The luckiest "moose hunters" will receive cash prizes and pleasant gifts.
And what prizes?
There will be 20 prize places. The winners will be determined by the resource administration and the broker's automated system.
As always in our contests, the prizes are cash. They will be credited to your trading account, and you will be able to withdraw them at any time. No tricky schemes like "money is only for trading, you can't withdraw it," everything is fair.
- 1st place - 300$
- 2nd place - 200$
- 3rd place - 150$
- 4th place - 100$
- 5th place - 75$
- from 6th to 10th place - 50$
- from 11th to 20th place - 20$
Also, the winner who takes 1st place will receive a Tickrmeter stock ticker.
It is an interesting device that resembles an electronic clock. But instead of time, it shows quotes for the selected financial instrument, for example, Bitcoin, a currency pair, or a stock index - at the user's choice. And it updates the data every few minutes or hours (as you set it).
A useful thing, I use it myself.
Contest dates
To participate in the contest, you need to register a contest account by July 17 (inclusive) (see the conditions below). The contest itself will take place from July 15 to July 26, 2024. That is, you will have 2 weeks to trade on the contest account. The contest results will be summarized by August 8 (most likely earlier). The winners will be determined by the resource administration together with AMarkets .
Contest rules - read carefully!
To participate in the "Moose Hunt 18" contest, you need to:
- Register a demo account via the special link if you are not yet an AMarkets client.
- If you are already an AMarkets client, open a MetaTrader 5 demo account in your personal cabinet (either Standard or ECN) with a balance of 5000 USD, then enter its number via the special link.
- During the period from July 15 to July 26, make trades on your account, observing the restrictions (see below).
Restrictions:
- Only 1 account per person is accepted for the contest. We will check this rule especially carefully.
- Before July 15, it is forbidden to open positions on the contest account.
- You may trade only the pairs: EURUSD, GBPUSD, AUDUSD.
- The starting balance of the demo account must be 5000 USD.
- The size of each order is 0.1 lot.
- It is forbidden to hold more than 1 trade in 1 currency pair at the same time (but different pairs are allowed).
- Each trade must be closed with a loss or profit of at least 30 old points. For example, if you bought EURUSD at 1.0950, then you need to close the trade at a loss at 1.0920, or better lower, so that slippage and the like do not interfere. I advise setting stops and takes at 35 points or more.
- By the end of the second trading week (July 26), all trades on the contest account must be closed. An open position also includes non-deleted pending orders.
- A participant who makes fewer than 10 trades on their account during the contest period or violates any other of the listed restrictions is disqualified.
- One hour before the market closes on Friday, July 26 (that is, from 23:00 to 00:00 according to the time IN THE TERMINAL, the "Market Watch" window), it is allowed to close previously opened trades with a loss/profit of less than 30 old points, but you should not count on this or abuse it. Opening new trades on the last day after 23:00 is prohibited.
- The contest ends on July 26 at 00:00 terminal time.
- Positive and negative swaps are not taken into account in the final result.
Contest participant FAQ
- I accidentally opened the wrong lot size/the wrong pair/too early, etc.!!! Am I disqualified??? Yes, you are disqualified. Rules are rules. Be more careful.
- What account size? 5000 USD.
- And what leverage should I choose?
Any.
- Can I trade on one account from two devices (for example, a PC and a smartphone)?
Yes, you can.
- How can I find out whether I am participating in the contest?
After the start of the contest, the tournament table will be active at the link, where you will be able to find your account and the current results of other participants.
- In the terminal, the lot is 0.01 in the order window, what should I do? Manually set the lot to 0.1 using the keyboard.
- Where can I ask a question?
