Effective Date: September 4, 2025. Domain: tlap.io. This Cookie Policy explains how TLAP (“we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on tlap.io (the “Site”).
1) Quick summary
- Current status: we do not set non-essential cookies and do not use cookies for analytics, advertising, or profiling at this time. The Site operates as an informational resource.
- Essential operation: the Site may use strictly necessary technologies required to deliver pages securely and reliably (e.g., load-balancing, basic security). These do not require consent.
- Future changes: we may later enable Google Analytics (and similar), Google Ads (and equivalents), reCAPTCHA v2/v3, and selected embeds (charts, videos). If/when that happens, we will update this Policy, display a consent banner where required (EEA/UK), and provide a Cookie Settings control in the footer.
2) What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device to make websites work or function more efficiently. Related technologies include local storage, pixels, and tags.
3) How we use cookies (current state)
- Strictly necessary only: to the extent any cookies or equivalent technical identifiers are set today, they are used solely to deliver the Site, maintain basic security, or balance traffic.
- No non-essential cookies today: we do not presently use analytics, advertising/retargeting, social media, A/B testing, session, or attribution cookies on tlap.io.
4) Planned technologies (future state)
- Performance/Analytics: Google Analytics 4 (or similar) to understand Site usage. Where applicable, we will use IP anonymization and respect applicable consent requirements.
- Advertising/Targeting: Google Ads (and equivalents). If enabled, we will implement consent controls and provide opt-out mechanisms (including a “Do Not Sell or Share” link if required by U.S. law).
- Security/Anti-abuse: reCAPTCHA v2/v3 to protect forms from spam and abuse. This is provided by Google and may use device/usage signals.
- Embeds/Widgets: selected third-party embeds (market charts, video players) that may read or set cookies once you load or interact with them.
- Partner Links: an “Our Partners” banner block linking to partner exchanges. Links are served as static outbound links from tlap.io; any tracking or cookies, if present, occur on the partner’s website under their policy.
- Accounts (planned): if we later add login or user accounts, we may use strictly necessary session cookies to operate those features.
5) Managing cookies
Browser controls: you can block or delete cookies via your browser settings. Doing so may affect essential functionality once accounts or forms are introduced. Consent banner & settings: when we introduce any non-essential cookies, we will display a consent banner in regions where required (e.g., EEA/UK) and provide a Cookie Settings link in the footer to adjust preferences at any time.
6) Region-specific notes
EEA/UK (GDPR/ePrivacy): we will not set non-essential cookies until you provide opt-in consent. U.S. (e.g., California CPRA): we do not sell or share personal information as defined by CPRA today; if this changes (e.g., enabling ads/retargeting), we will update this Policy and provide a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link. Global Privacy Control (GPC): if/when we use cookies that qualify as “selling” or “sharing” under applicable U.S. laws, we will honor GPC signals in supported browsers.
7) Third-party sites
Our Site links to third-party websites (e.g., partner exchanges). Their cookies and tracking are governed by their own policies. Please review those policies when you visit third-party sites.
8) Updates to this Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect technical or legal changes. Changes take effect upon posting the revised Policy on this page, with the Effective Date updated accordingly.
