Bitcoin Liquidation Map — Long and Short Levels
What the liquidation map shows
The map projects stored Binance USDⓈ-M Futures trades for BTCUSDT and ETHUSDT onto estimated liquidation prices and merges nearby levels into clusters. Warm lines represent estimated long liquidations below entry, while cool lines represent estimated short liquidations above entry. Brightness and thickness reflect relative estimated strength, not verified participant exposure.
How levels are estimated
The public Binance tape does not expose another trader’s actual leverage, wallet or whether a fill opened or closed a position. Leverage is estimated for stable trade-size buckets and recalibrated monthly against price touches, breaks and confirmed reversals. Short chart periods retain older positions that could still be active, while the available archive spans up to 180 days.
Map and chart controls
- Choose BTCUSDT or ETHUSDT, a timeframe and a period from 1 to 180 days.
- Group levels by time, price corridors, ATR, density centres and chart scale.
- Zoom time with the wheel, zoom price with Alt + wheel, pan with Space + drag and double-click to reset the view.
- Drag over the chart to inspect the level count, liquidity index, Long/Short split and source-trade count.
Adaptive liquidity backtest
The backtester runs one strategy over the selected period and applies the top filters together with the current grouping switches. Auto mode calibrates on 70% of history and validates on the remaining 30%; manual mode exposes the strategy inputs directly.
- Initial equity, trade margin, leverage and maximum cash loss per trade.
- ATR stop, volume filter, calculation window and maximum holding period in candles.
- A 50%, 70%, 80% or 90% score threshold: Above opens LONG, Below opens SHORT.
- First-liquidity-pocket target and summary metrics for return, win rate, drawdown and Profit Factor.
The map uses a locally stored data snapshot and is a statistical reconstruction, not an exchange liquidation ledger. It does not reveal confirmed positions of individual traders; backtest results do not guarantee future returns and are not investment advice.
Contract, period, timeframe, side and layer settings are committed together with Apply. The snapshot time is displayed above the chart; this is not a continuous tape. Long uses warm colours and Short cool colours. The liquidity index is estimated strength share among active visible levels, not participant funds. Separate Binance forceOrder points show stored actual events, limited to at most one event per symbol per second; collection start and outages are disclosed and the feed is not a complete market ledger. Zero calibration metrics mean uncalibrated. On a phone one finger scrolls the page; chart control requires two fingers or the explicit button. The backtest journal includes timestamps and exit reasons; a small sample does not establish strategy quality.
