Reading USDCAD markup
USDCAD expresses the US dollar in Canadian dollars. A rising quotation describes the base currency strengthening relative to the quote currency; it is not the same as the Canadian dollar rising. This distinction matters when comparing a structural label with a news headline. The scanner processes USDCAD itself and does not infer its phase from an oil chart, even when the reader studies both markets together.
Each Canadian-pair event belongs to a completed candle and the working corridor of its own scale. An intraday approach to a boundary may resemble a daily reversal, but the labels are not interchangeable without the daily sequence. Forex volume is marked as a proxy and does not confirm the worldwide USDCAD transaction flow. The trading pause between weeks remains a pause rather than an artificial series of zero observations. Three fields are useful for reviewing your own example: the pair’s price direction, the closing moment and the final outcome. History retains failed and cancelled events, keeping the review from becoming a collection of successful pictures only. USDCAD statistics are not mixed with other dollar pairs. A small number of completions is shown directly instead of being replaced with another instrument’s percentages. The separate four-hour panel offers an intermediate perspective without merging its observations into the hourly sample.
The live USDCAD line reports 1H — no range; 4H — no range; 1D — no range. For this instrument, 0 rows over 30 days; 3 completions across separate two-year samples. Start with the snapshot date and latest label before comparing scales. The USD/CAD description covers existing completed observations rather than a future move. An empty structure is not an opposite phase. Assigning identical phases to every scale to produce an attractive summary would substitute data; the page leaves actual differences visible. This is particularly useful when a short range has already ended.
The USDCAD panel reads the same candles as the general scanner. Switching scale does not change the data provider. A candle obtains its final value after it closes; later bars can finish the working area or cancel a dependent label. In the USD/CAD view, compare boundaries with the actual close rather than just a wick. An educational schematic explains phase order, but it does not depict real prices from the selected day.
The two-year USDCAD table groups observations by event type and timeframe. Sample n includes completed outcomes only: target, invalidation and no result. Waiting and cancelled counts are printed separately for inspection. The publication threshold for USD/CAD shares is twenty completions. Until then, a direct insufficient-data label remains. A small example count is not concealed by pooling neighbouring markets or different scales into one overall percentage. Every displayed share retains its own denominator.
USD/CAD volume is a proxy, without confirmation from complete market turnover. When studying USDCAD, compare the same code and scale while recording the date and final status. The online chart provides USD/CAD price context; Magnitude helps describe movement size but does not independently confirm a Wyckoff phase. From this page you can return to the general scanner, open the atlas and explore the method. This route connects an explanation with an observation without turning an educational drawing into a signal.
FAQ
Why does the USDCAD phase differ between scales?
Each USDCAD timeframe is marked independently using closed candles. Available scales are 1H, 4H, 1D. A missing structure is not copied from another scale.
What does USDCAD volume mean?
USD/CAD feed volume is a proxy. It does not confirm total worldwide or exchange turnover and is explicitly labelled in the panel.
Why are USDCAD event percentages missing?
Each event type and timeframe requires at least 20 completed outcomes. Waiting and cancelled observations are excluded from n; a smaller sample is labelled insufficient data.
