Reading SPX markup

SPX displays an index feed, so its corridor belongs to the index level rather than to the price of a selected company. A common equity-market background does not imply the same event sequence as the NDX page. SPX structure is formed from its own completed candles here. This lets you inspect a broad area of balance without substituting a neighbouring market’s phase.

SPX session timing matters when reviewing an automatic reaction: adjacent trading bars can be separated by a night, weekend or another calendar pause. A missing bar does not become a zero candle. Four-hour markup uses complete closed blocks, and daily markup is evaluated separately. The hourly button stays unavailable under the current index contract. Volume is labelled as a proxy rather than the combined exchange turnover of all stocks. When reading SPX, distinguish a boundary holding from a corridor completing; a phase name does not override later invalidation. History allows you to return to the final outcome instead of selecting only an attractive portion of the chart. The instrument’s own sample size is visible beside percentages, and a small number of completions is explicitly described as insufficient data. The index page thus retains unsuccessful examples as well as observational limitations. No lower-scale result is automatically promoted into a daily structural conclusion.

The live SPX line reports 1H — unavailable for this asset class; 4H — no range; 1D — no range. For this instrument, 2 rows over 30 days; 19 completions across separate two-year samples. Start with the snapshot date and latest label before comparing scales. The S&P 500 description covers existing completed observations rather than a future move. An empty structure is not an opposite phase. Assigning identical phases to every scale to produce an attractive summary would substitute data; the page leaves actual differences visible. This is particularly useful when a short range has already ended.

To investigate SPX, open the desired scale and point at a candle: the panel supplies price, volume and the event label. The S&P 500 drawing comes from the operating scanner’s closed bars. The selector does not create missing quotations or copy a higher phase onto a lower scale. Price returning into the corridor requires subsequent closes to be examined. The schematic atlas explains that sequence while actual boundaries remain in the instrument panel.

The two-year SPX table groups observations by event type and timeframe. Sample n includes completed outcomes only: target, invalidation and no result. Waiting and cancelled counts are printed separately for inspection. The publication threshold for S&P 500 shares is twenty completions. Until then, a direct insufficient-data label remains. A small example count is not concealed by pooling neighbouring markets or different scales into one overall percentage. Every displayed share retains its own denominator.

S&P 500 volume is a proxy, without confirmation from complete market turnover. A SPX example is best reviewed from a specific event through its subsequent candles. Date, scale and final evaluation make the S&P 500 observation reproducible. The Magnitude link depicts movement in another way, while the online chart supplies price context. Neither replaces scanner structure. Method and atlas links explain phase names; returning to the general table lets you compare instruments without mixing their statistics. The tool links retain the configured symbol rather than guessing a new source.

FAQ

Why does the SPX phase differ between scales?

Each SPX timeframe is marked independently using closed candles. Available scales are 4H, 1D. A missing structure is not copied from another scale.

What does SPX volume mean?

S&P 500 feed volume is a proxy. It does not confirm total worldwide or exchange turnover and is explicitly labelled in the panel.

Why are SPX event percentages missing?

Each event type and timeframe requires at least 20 completed outcomes. Waiting and cancelled observations are excluded from n; a smaller sample is labelled insufficient data.
