Reading NDX markup

NDX is an index price feed in this group. Its candle does not describe the volume of one stock and is not the sum of every constituent transaction. The index therefore receives its own markup and a proxy-volume label. NDX and SPX can be compared as separate drawings, but the boundaries or outcomes of one cannot be transferred to the other.

Session context matters for NDX: a calendar pause separates traded observations and can alter the appearance of the next reaction. The scanner does not insert artificial flat bars into the pause. Four-hour and daily scales are available; 1H is currently disabled for the index class and is shown as unavailable. In the panel, first locate the working corridor, then inspect the sequence of tests around its upper and lower areas. A return after UTAD differs from a breakout that holds, even when both candles leave a long upper wick. The historical NDX row establishes whether evaluation has finished or is still waiting. When there are few completions, the page does not disguise the shortage with another market’s statistics. Separating observations by scale also avoids presenting several dependent intraday approaches as confirmation of a long-term structure. The daily view can remain without a range while a shorter corridor produces several entirely valid historical events.

What NDX shows now: 1H — unavailable for this asset class; 4H — distribution, phase B; 1D — no range. The Nasdaq 100 archive has 2 rows over 30 days; 7 completions across separate two-year samples. These values belong to the verified server snapshot. Do not confuse the moment the page is received with the event moment; both dates appear beside the heading. A market without a working area normally reports no range. That state is not replaced with a neighbouring timeframe’s phase or the last successful historical drawing. Keeping the timestamps visible makes this distinction inspectable.

To investigate NDX, open the desired scale and point at a candle: the panel supplies price, volume and the event label. The Nasdaq 100 drawing comes from the operating scanner’s closed bars. The selector does not create missing quotations or copy a higher phase onto a lower scale. Price returning into the corridor requires subsequent closes to be examined. The schematic atlas explains that sequence while actual boundaries remain in the instrument panel.

The two-year NDX table groups observations by event type and timeframe. Sample n includes completed outcomes only: target, invalidation and no result. Waiting and cancelled counts are printed separately for inspection. The publication threshold for Nasdaq 100 shares is twenty completions. Until then, a direct insufficient-data label remains. A small example count is not concealed by pooling neighbouring markets or different scales into one overall percentage. Every displayed share retains its own denominator.

Nasdaq 100 volume is a proxy, without confirmation from complete market turnover. Related surfaces for NDX include the full scanner, schematics, method, chart and Magnitude. Each answers a different question. The atlas explains Nasdaq 100 events, the chart exposes prices, and impulse size does not automatically establish accumulation. Retain the time and final outcome of an example so that you can compare the same case later. The sequence of facts matters more than the resemblance of two unrelated chart fragments.

FAQ

Why does the NDX phase differ between scales?

Each NDX timeframe is marked independently using closed candles. Available scales are 4H, 1D. A missing structure is not copied from another scale.

What does NDX volume mean?

Nasdaq 100 feed volume is a proxy. It does not confirm total worldwide or exchange turnover and is explicitly labelled in the panel.

Why are NDX event percentages missing?

Each event type and timeframe requires at least 20 completed outcomes. Waiting and cancelled observations are excluded from n; a smaller sample is labelled insufficient data.
