What can this tactic actually be used for? For example, acceleration can be used if you want to reach a certain amount of money and then trade that amount properly.

There are different groups of traders: investment funds, banks, governments, trading organizations with large and small capital, and a group of retail traders with deposits ranging from 1000 dollars to hundreds of thousands of dollars. In addition, there are traders with deposits under 1000 dollars. If you do not have the opportunity to put $1000 into your account, using deposit acceleration to earn that very 1000 dollars may be the right decision for you, provided that you understand the risks.
