So, Forex Setka Trader belongs to the category of martingale advisors (increasing the lot size when trades go into the red). Such robots bring the highest profit, but at any moment can lead to the loss of all or most of the deposit. Our task is to withdraw profits periodically so that, after reaching 100% profitability, we can continue withdrawing pure profit without risking the initial capital, since we have already withdrawn it.

As we can see from the backtests, in some years our advisor blows the account, and in some years it does not. If it were not for the impressive monitoring of the real account (see above), I certainly would not have written about this robot.

History tests once again tell us how important it is to withdraw profit constantly, because Forex Setka Trader may one fine day lose the entire deposit. When exactly this will happen is unknown: it may last a year or two, or maybe only a few months. No one knows. But we can take these risks into account, adapt to them, and after withdrawing 100% of the initial deposit, receive profit without risk. A suitable initial deposit size is no less important, and that is what we will continue talking about.

Forex Setka Trader opens orders with an increased lot when the first position goes into the red, and the further the position moves into the red, the more orders with an increased lot it opens. Naturally, to avoid a margin call and allow the robot to close the pyramid of orders, we need to have a certain amount of funds in the account to use as margin. Recommendations from the developers for different lot sizes and account types can be found in the table below.

The table clearly shows that the optimal solution for an ordinary trader would be a Cent-NDD account with Forex4You. It does not require impossible investments, but it allows you to follow the minimum deposit recommendations for the Forex Setka Trader advisor.

Until the moment you actually attach Setka Trader to a chart, its installation is no different from other bots. Therefore, if you are a beginner, follow the standard instructions for installing advisors up to and including step No. 6.

After that, however, there are some nuances when installing this bot. We need to attach it to 2 different charts (the timeframe and pair are the same on both charts: GBPUSD M1), setting the advisor to buys only on one chart and sells only on the other. At the same time, do not forget that the Magic Number parameter must be different. Why do we need this? So that the advisor builds separate pyramids of orders for buys and sells, which somewhat reduces the overall risk.

Here is how to do it:

1. Open 2 GBPUSD charts with the M1 timeframe.

2. Drag Forex Setka Trader with the mouse onto the first chart; the settings window will appear. We are interested in the Common tab. There set the position mode to Only Long. Click OK. This tells the advisor to open buys only on this chart.

4. In the advisor input parameters on the second chart, we need to change the Magic Number setting: the number must under no circumstances match the one set on the first chart. That is, if on the first chart the Magic Number parameter is 2024536, then on the second chart set any other number in Magic Number. For example, 2024537.

So in total we get 2 GBPUSD M1 charts with the same advisor, but with different Magic Numbers (so the orders do not get mixed up). One chart is for buys, the other is for sells.

ShowTradeComment - turns on/off the information on the chart about the advisor's work

Lots - starting lot for the first order.

MultiLotsFactor - multiplier for subsequent orders

StepLots - the number of points the market must move against the advisor's positions to open the next-level order.

TakeProfit - take profit (in points)

UseTrailing - turns the trailing stop on/off.

TrailStart - the minimum profit that must remain after the trailing stop is triggered

TrailStop - trailing size

MaxOpenOrders - the maximum allowed number of orders

SafeEquityStopOut - turns on/off closing all positions when the amount of equity falls below the Nth level (set in the SafeEquityRisk parameter)

SafeEquityRisk - the percentage of account equity that you allow Forex Setka Trader to use. The advisor will close all orders if the funds in the account fall below the specified percentage. Works only when the SafeEquityStopOut parameter is enabled.

Slippage - acceptable slippage when opening an order

MagicNumber - a unique numeric code that Forex Setka Trader assigns to its positions so as not to confuse them with orders from other advisors and manual trades. Do not forget that on two charts of the same currency pair the magic number must be different!

Close_All_Orders - by default this function is always disabled. If you enable it, the advisor will simply close all positions it opened earlier.

Freeze After TP - when this function is enabled, Forex Setka will stop trading after the positions reach take profit.

To sum up, the Forex Setka Trader advisor is profitable, but very risky. The most important thing when working with it is to withdraw profits constantly and observe the recommended deposit size (see above).

Important !!!

For the advisor to work correctly, the trading terminal must be turned on from the market opening on Sunday evening until its close on Friday evening. If you do not have the ability to keep your computer running 24/5, I advise using a VPS server service.
