There is no need for super-powerful hardware to run a trading terminal. But when all your programs, including the terminal, work quickly, nothing freezes, and the computer does not "stop to think" if you suddenly decide to take a break from the charts and watch cat videos on youtube, that is very pleasant and convenient. And it does not disrupt your emotional state. You will still need your nerves.

If you trade on a desktop PC, I recommend keeping a laptop nearby as well. Since the power can theoretically go out at any moment, and a laptop runs on a battery, you will have enough charge at least to close your positions.

It is better if it is large. About 19-24 inches. It is simply more convenient. You do not need a lot of monitors like in the movies about cool traders, believe me. At least, you will not trade any better because of it. But you will be able to watch a movie, play a game, and trade Forex at the same time :)

The faster, the better. You also need to think through what you will do if it suddenly goes down. A "backup plan" can be either internet from another provider installed in advance, a 3g modem, or a modern smartphone such as an Iphone with a modem function, which has rescued me more than once.

Many people underestimate the importance of equipment for "Madam Sit." And that is a mistake. The spine is directly connected with brain function, headaches, and a person's overall health. So do not skimp on a proper computer chair, not some bargain one for 1.5 thousand rubles. The money you spend will pay you back many times over, and you will protect your health.

A printer / scanner / copier - you have probably seen these hybrid devices in the offices of various companies. Buy one for yourself and you will be able to print charts, draw on them with markers, scan them back into the computer, make posters with important data, and so on.

Printed charts with examples of difficult situations, tables with lot sizes for positions, examples of patterns, new rules that need to be introduced into your trading system, and so on are very helpful. Especially when all of this is not lying in a pile on the desk, but hanging on the wall in front of your eyes. Give it a try.
