Why Is My Terminal Lagging?
Many have surely asked themselves this question. After a series of backtests or a very long and active period of work in Metatrader 4, a large number of unnecessary files accumulates. As a result, the program starts to "lag" and chart desynchronization errors and other issues appear... Even more than that: on weak computers the whole system starts to lag (fixed by a reboot).
Of course, you can manually go through the folders and delete everything unnecessary, but there is a simpler way:
Put the cleat.bat script into the program folder and run it with a double mouse click.
Attention! The script must be run as Administrator!
After the black screen disappears, the terminal will work fast again. The script deletes quote history (it can always be downloaded again), logs, mail, and other useless files that interfere with the program.
Personally, I always run it after backtests of trading experts. I recommend it.
