What are stocks?
Stocks are an asset class that allows an investor to own part of a company and even have voting rights depending on the type of shares issued. Shareholders receive part of the company's profit in proportion to the number of shares they own.
Stocks are usually sold on the stock market. Companies go public and issue shares to raise capital and grow their business. On the other hand, investors buy shares to diversify their portfolio and seek to profit from stock price movements.

Contest dates
To participate in the contest, you need to register a contest account BEFORE August 20 (inclusive) (see the conditions below). The contest itself will run from August 21 to September 1. That is, you will have 2 weeks to trade on the contest account. The contest results will be announced by September 11 (most likely earlier).
Contest rules - read carefully!
To participate in the "Path to Wall Street 5" contest, you need to:
- Register a demo account using the special link:
Platform - MT5, account type - Pro, leverage - 1:20, balance - 10000, currency - USD.
2. Download MetaTrader5 from the link in the email or here.
3. Enter your TickMill demo account number and email address by filling out the form at the link:

4. During the period from August 21 to September 1 make trades on the account, observing the restrictions (see below).
Restrictions:
- Only 1 account per person is accepted for the contest.
- It is forbidden to open positions on the contest account before August 21.
- You may trade ONLY STOCKS; other instruments are prohibited.
- You may trade either manually or with expert advisors.
- The size of each order is arbitrary.
- By the end of the second trading week (September 1), all trades on the contest account must be closed. An open position also includes undeleted pending orders. Please pay attention to the trading hours of the instruments!!!!!! It is better to close positions earlier, without waiting until the last minutes. After the end of the contest and until the results are announced, opening new trades is also prohibited.
- A participant who makes fewer than 5 trades on their account during the contest period or violates any other of the listed restrictions will be disqualified.
- There are no restrictions on take-profits and stop-losses.
- If arbitrage strategies are detected, the participant will be disqualified.

Yes, you are excluded. Rules are rules.

- How do I know whether I am participating in the contest? Will I receive a confirmation?
No, no confirmation will arrive. A few days after the contest begins, a list of participants is published in the thread on the forum (link at the end of the post) in the form of an Excel table attached to the thread. To see attachments, you need forum registration. If you did not find yourself on the list, write in the forum thread.
- Where can I ask a question?

- How can I find stocks in the terminal?
After launching the terminal, move the mouse over the "Market Watch" window, press the right mouse button, and select "Symbols".
Then click on the Stocks section and press the "Show Symbol" button:

Please keep in mind that if you do not log in to your MT5 demo account within 7 days, it will be deactivated. That is, it is important to log in to the trading account with the trading password at least once a week, otherwise the system will send the account to the archive.
