EuroKey EA - a conservatively stable expert advisor

The topic of this post is the new EuroKey EA expert advisor, capable of boasting decent live account monitoring results as well as quite satisfactory historical tests. They say that the basis for this robot was our old friend IrisFX, but personally I did not see any particular similarity in the trading. Well then, enough words, let us get down to business.

On the official website we are provided with several backtests, but with extremely questionable modeling quality, so, as usual, I conducted my own test of the EuroKey expert advisor on historical data with 99% modeling quality.

Ok, the number of points is not mind-blowing, but since on the monitoring accounts (see below) the expert advisor earned half of the result of the 4-year backtest in just a few months, I think we are dealing with a case where historical tests do not have much practical value. On the official site, 2 monitoring accounts are offered to our attention: a demo and a live account. On these accounts, the results are much more interesting.

Of course, the results on the live account are somewhat weaker than on the demo, but the live account was opened somewhat later than the demo and at quite an unfortunate time, right before the very beginning of the "bloody August," which, incidentally, the expert advisor went through quite decently.

Lot – the trading lot that will be used by the expert advisor to open positions

SpreadControl – an analog of the MaxSpread parameter in other expert advisors. When this add-on is activated, the expert advisor will not open orders if the spread is greater than 3 points.

Opt_Key – the optimization key, it affects the internal trading algorithm of the expert advisor and should not be changed.
